Athena Project Newsletter – July 2015

The Athena Project is an EU co-funded project which aims to utilize social media communications and develop tools to empower citizens and first responders in crisis situations. July’s Athena Newsletter highlights the consortium’s testing of its first prototype at the Crisis Management Center in Izmir, Turkey. The exercise was based upon a damaging earthquake scenario, designed to test the system’s effectiveness and validate the project’s ongoing work, including the mobile application developed by Epidemico.
