The ATHENA Project is an EU co-funded project aiming to utilize social media communications and develop tools to empower citizens and first responders in crisis situations. Athena’s November Newsletter highlights Epidemico and Sheffield Hallam University’s prototype development. Epidemico continues to improve the ATHENA Mobile App by adding new features, making existing ones more user friendly, and remedying functionality issues, namely. Epidemico also contributed material for a presentation given to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
